Tom is a 2:34 marathon runner, iron-distance triathlete, and former eating disorder sufferer. Tom was encouraged by a coach to lose weight in order to enhance his performances, which triggered a two-year struggle with bulimia and binge eating disorder.
Now in recovery, Tom is a vocal advocate and blogger on mental health awareness, and has spoken about his experience in detail, whilst acting as a fundraiser and Media Volunteer for eating disorder charity, Beat.
Tom also works as Communications Executive for parkrun, managing social media for the world's biggest running community, and has a BSc (Hons) in Sport & Exercise Science.
